This is beautiful, Erin! As someone whose family also lives in 1,400 very loved square feet, I relate to every word. (Also, I was literally just pivoting around my living room the other day trying (and failing!) to scheme how we might possibly be able to fit a sectional in there for my ever growing kids, so that part might have been my favorite.)
I loved this! Our 1300 sqft house feels very small sometimes but a lovely yard helps! And hopeful additions/renovations. Because one bathroom really doesn't cut it.
Beautiful! I relate as we're living in the church parsonage and I've always felt like when we had our own home I'd make it ours, but we've been here for 13 years and it's home.
Such beautiful words! Your home sounds lovely and full of love and your backyard is dreamy! I feel similarly about our house, it's not my dream house, but our backyard gives us extra space.
So beautiful, Erin! 💞
And your yard really is so dreamy!
Thank you, friend!
The size is irrelevant when our hearts are at home 💝 lovely way to end your poem 💓
Thank you!
Oh my goodness, that last line!! I also love:
"somehow the table is big enough
to hold our dinnertime laughter,
and the floor is wide enough
for dancing."
Beautiful, Erin. Something I love about my home: our sunroom is perfect for cozying up with a book.
Ohh, a sunroom sounds divine!!
Love this, Erin! 🩷
Thank you, Sara!

I have done that same thing!! We probably could fit a sectional but we wouldn’t be able to really walk around, haha.
So lovely, Erin!
I LOVE this, Erin! You are so talented (and the sentiment is very real).

Ohh, one bathroom would be TOUGH.

The backyard can really make all the difference!
I love how old my home is! That means it comes with problems 😆 but I love the creaky floors, small rooms and broken fireplace we'll never use.
Yes!! I love older homes too.
