I’m totally hyped for you to host a book swap now—truly the best party! Also, I’ve had my eye on God of the Woods but can’t tell how unsettling it is (I like suspenseful/thriller but not unsettling, which is a fine line). I also keep hearing about Dinner for Vampires, maybe this is my sign to actually read it.
Great lists as usual! I’m going to check out some of that music because there are some new to me ones there! For me, the epilogue (I think?) or closing chapter of *Dinner for Vampires* really hit home for me, when she’s talking about her complicated feelings re: her experience, trying to sort out the good from the hard and realizing she couldn’t, and that God was there in all of it. I think that section, in light of her story (which IMO could have been a little shorter maybe?), is what makes it something very worth reading!
Yes, the epilogue did a good job of talking about those things. (And I am typically not a huge fan of epilogues.) It still left me wanting a little more somehow, though I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what.

I would say God of the Woods is more mysterious than unsettling, but it also has some very sad parts, so I don’t know!
I'm so glad you have people in your life to talk to! I enjoyed the Dinner for Vampires book, but I was also a huge One Tree Hill fan back in the day!
I watched the pilot after I read the book, and I don’t think it’s aged well. 😆
