So glad you had a good trip! We stayed in a hotel last weekend, just one night, but it had been a while since we stayed in a hotel, not an Airbnb. And it's becoming a challenge with five of us in one space. Haha.
My husband and I were just talking about families of 5 last night! One of my best friends has 3 kids, and nothing is ever built for a family of 5. There’s always a char at the end of a table or someone sleeping on a couch or something.
I told Rich this EXACT thing when we were on our trip last weekend, as we sat at a table with me on the end with a chair pulled up. It feels like most things are created for families of four, which makes sense. And I'm not complaining! But just something I've noticed over the years.
Your girls are so cute. We're going through a workbook titled "Embrace Your Writer's Block" in The Habit right now. I think you'd really love it, based on what you've written here.

I’m so glad it’s been a great trip, but I also totally get being ready to be home and having your own space again!

Ohhh, that does sound good! Thanks for the tip.
